My Experience with the Z Fold6

Design & Build – Sleek but Solid

First thing I noticed – the phone feels much more premium and durable than the older Fold models. It’s a bit lighter and thinner now, especially when folded. The hinge is strong and smooth, and Samsung says it’s even more dust resistant (finally!).

When I carry it, people do notice and ask questions. It’s a real head-turner!

Display – Just Wow!

The inside display (when unfolded) is like a mini tablet. Watching movies, scrolling Instagram, or reading articles feels so good. The colors pop, it’s smooth at 120Hz, and no lag at all.

The outer screen is now wider than the Fold5, so you can actually type and use it like a normal phone without feeling cramped.

Multitasking – Boss Level

This is one of my favourite parts. I can open 3 apps at once – for example, I had WhatsApp, YouTube, and Notes running together. It’s very useful when I’m working or watching tutorials. Samsung has also improved the taskbar – switching apps is quick and easy.

Camera – Great, but Not the Best

Let’s be honest – the Z Fold6 has good cameras, but not flagship level like the S24 Ultra. The 50MP main camera gives clear shots in daylight. Night shots are okay, but sometimes details get soft.

Selfies from the cover camera are good. But the under-display camera inside is just okay – not great for selfies or video calls.

Battery Life – Decent but Not Excellent

With heavy use (social media, video, some gaming), the phone lasts me a day. But if I use the big screen a lot, I need to charge it by evening. Fast charging is okay, but could’ve been faster. No charger in the box – typical Samsung move.

Performance – Fast and Smooth

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is super powerful. I played Genshin Impact and Asphalt 9 – both ran smoothly with high graphics. No heating issues so far.

What I Liked:

  • Premium design, lighter and more durable
  • Huge inner screen is perfect for movies, reading, work
  • Multitasking is super useful
  • Performance is flagship level

What Could Be Better:

  • Battery life could be better
  • Cameras are good but not amazing
  • Price is very high (₹1.65L+)
  • Under-display camera is not useful

Final Verdict – Is It Worth It?

If you’re someone who wants cutting-edge tech, likes multitasking, or simply wants a phone + tablet combo in one device, then yes, the Fold6 is a great option.

But if you just need a powerful phone for photography, gaming or basic use, there are better and cheaper options.

For me, it feels like a luxury tech toy – not for everyone, but those who get it will love it.
