SONY Bravia XR-55X90K 55-inch 4K LED TV

The SONY Bravia XR-55X90K is a premium 4K Smart TV with great picture quality, smooth performance, and smart features. I bought this TV a month ago, and here’s my real user experience after 1 week and 1 month of daily use.

1-Week User Experience

Good Things After 1 Week:

  1. Picture Quality is Super Sharp – 4K movies and YouTube videos look amazing. Colors are natural, not too bright like Samsung.
  2. Great for Gaming – I connected my PS5, and it runs 4K@120Hz smoothly. No lag in God of War & Spider-Man.
  3. Google TV Works Well – Apps like Netflix, Prime, Disney+ Hotstar open fast. Voice search with Google Assistant is helpful.
  4. Sound is Decent – Better than other TVs, but I still bought a soundbar for movies.
  5. No Ads! – Unlike some brands, Sony doesn’t force ads on the home screen.

Problems After 1 Week:

  1. Remote is Basic – No backlight, feels cheap for a ₹1L TV.
  2. Heats Up a Little – After 3-4 hours, the back gets warm (but not too hot).
  3. Local Dimming is Not Perfect – Sometimes, dark scenes show slight blooming (light leaks).

1-Month User Experience

Good Things After 1 Month:

  1. Still Fast & Smooth – No lag even after installing many apps.
  2. Great for Sports & Movies – Motion handling is excellent (no blur in cricket/football).
  3. Works Well with Soundbar – Connected via HDMI eARC, no sync issues.
  4. No Bugs or Crashes – Some Android TVs slow down, but this one is stable.

Problems After 1 Month:

  1. Google TV Needs Some Tweaks – Sometimes, apps take 2-3 seconds to load.
  2. Not the Brightest TV – In a very bright room, HDR movies look a bit dim.
  3. Remote Battery Drain – The remote eats up batteries faster than expected.

Should You Buy It?

Best For:

  • Gamers (PS5/Xbox Series X users)
  • Movie lovers (Netflix, Prime in 4K HDR)
  • People who hate ads & bloatware

Avoid If:

  • You want the brightest TV (Samsung QLED is better for bright rooms).
  • You need a super-cheap TV (TCL & Hisense give cheaper options).
  • You hate Google TV (some prefer LG’s webOS).

Final Verdict

Rating: 4.5/5
The Sony Bravia XR-55X90K is one of the best 55-inch TVs under ₹1 lakh. It’s perfect for gaming, movies, and daily use with no major issues. The only downsides are the remote quality & slight blooming in dark scenes. If you want a long-lasting, high-quality TV, this is a great choice.
